In honor of all the unexpected snow at our home this morning, here’s one of my favorite snow photos from one of last years great adventures 😉❄️🌲

Although it hasn’t snowed this year as much as we would have liked, these last couple days have been beautiful 😍☀️❄️

🎶 “Shout it, go on and scream it from the mountains, go on and tell it to the masses, that He is God.” 🎶❤️ One of the most incredible things about spending time in the mountains is I am reminded of how immense God is and how small and unworthy I am, and yet He loves me more than I can ever comprehend. And He gives me so many opportunities to appreciate all that He has made. ☺️

Thankful that the sun came out for a bit today ☺️ And also super excited we found tickets to Italy in April! So stoked to trek through the Dolomites 😍🏔 📷@braden_tuck

“One day's exposure to mountains is better than a cartload of books.”- John Muir. And that’s saying a lot, because I love books! 😂📖😍 All this warm weather has got me longing for Spring; can’t wait for clear Mountain views and wildflower season! 🌺

Today Braden and I went running! 😀 For those of you who don’t know, Braden hasn’t been able to run for almost 5 years. Since his most recent surgery he has been able to do so many things that we once thought we would never be able to do together. And now he is running again! I am so proud of him and filled with so much joy to share this with him! So here’s a little iPhone snapshot capturing our first run of many to come 😀🌲🏃🏻‍♂️

Throwback to the time we woke up at 2am to get some time with the mountains before work ☺️🏔🌲

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings” - John Muir 😍🏔 📷@braden_tuck

Throwback to last summer’s car camping trip! Shortly after Braden’s surgery, we weren’t able to backpack but we were both missing the outdoors so much that we improvised and enjoyed several car camping adventures. ☺️🏕 📷 @braden_tuck

“How glorious a greeting the sun gives the mountains!”- John Muir ☀️🏔

We have been so busy lately that we haven’t had a full weekend off together to go backpacking. I’m really missing it! Keeping my fingers crossed that we might be able to this weekend 😀🏕🤞

I can’t wait for Spring! We are currently working on collecting the gear to begin really working on our mountaineering skills. So far we have only done Mt. St Helens, and we have many more peaks to summit and much to learn! If anyone is down for joining us this Spring, let us know! We’d love some mountain-loving, climbing pals 😀🏔🌲😍

Today my mind is up in the clouds thinking about sunrise views like this 😂😉🏔☁️

Here’s a rare photo of the both of us! Thankful for my handsome adventure companion ☺️🌲

One of my most favorite things about winter is the beauty of a clear sunny day after a fresh snowfall. Everything looks so magnificent covered in white! ☺️❄️

As much as I love winter, we’ve had a couple of nice, warmer days these past few weeks and it’s gotten me longing for spring. I can’t wait for the roads to reopen so we can go back to some of our favorite backpacking spots ☺️🏕

We have been so busy lately, so we were very thankful for some time to get out and explore. We went down a forest road not far from home, in search of snow. Although we didn’t find much, we did stop to enjoy a walk down a peaceful, short trail. We also saw 3 different herds of elk along our drive! They were so beautiful to see in their own habitat. Unfortunately we didn’t have the right lens to capture them, so instead we just sat quietly and observed them. I’m definitely feeling more refreshed after finally getting some time to be outside 😀🌲 📷 @braden_tuck

Can’t wait to head back up to St. Helens now that it is covered in even more snow! ☺️❄️☃️

I am so proud of @braden_tuck! Just 6 months after his second knee replacement we summited Mt. St. Helens together, and we can’t wait to summit more peaks! Check out his latest post for more details about this climb and why it was so important to us. ☺️🏔
